I've been trying to track down why every ISO I download seems to somehow corrupt itself and cause the md5sum hash verification to fail every time. As a sysadmin, I need to have various different ISO's (mostly Linux) available on our datastores for standing up VM's. We have a Barracuda firewall and I wondered perhaps this may be a contributing factor, but I had others behind the same firewall download the same ISO's and they have no problems. I've tried using different mirrors, but that doesn't seem to help. Is it possible my NIC is doing this or perhaps the TCP/IP stack possibly corrupting inbound packets somehow? And the data would re-transfer if it is corrupted. Also I want to know how you download this ISO?
